I opened a new shop on etsy for fabric. The orders started pouring in from day one and so it is keeping us busy. I like the fabric business!

I recently bought one of these tagie blankets for our baby, and decided to copy it the other day.  I think it turned out pretty good.  It was too labor intensive to sell in my etsy shop.  I am not a fan of all the measuring and such.  I also threw a few scraps onto this canvas bag.  It started out because we were planning on buying some reusable grocery bags...ya know doing a little of our part...but the bag is a bit small for that.  So it is being retired to a book bag!

mini book review

I just finished this book and really liked it. It was hard to put down. I wanted to finish it before the movie came out. It was a story of a boy growing up in Afghanistan and how his life changes when his country gets invaded. It follows him for 20 years and portrays the "baggage" he carries around his whole life because of guilt, and not being able to forgive himself. Very good story of true friendship, loyalty, and forgiveness.

I restyled the burpies for the store. I did different stitching and added a tag. The tags seem to be very popular with the baby stuff! I think they turned out well.

Road trip to roch then the cities for me on new years. I spent one day with Christy and then met the girls in the cities for dinner at Twin City Grill. It was fun to catch up with old friends! Good laughs with good friends...a good way to begin the new year!

We had our ultrasound right after Christmas. It was so exciting to see the baby moving around. She was very active, and we thought she has the cutest shaped head. The tech and the dr said everything looked normal. She has 2 lesgs and 2 arms, and 4 heart chambers...whew!
